Someone on the radio was talking about how ridiculous it is that on Labor Day, "a day set apart for laboring," it's ironic that we do not labor.
It is not.
Labor Day is actually a day set apart to recognize the achievements of American workers.
But I guess we don't do that either. Everyone just goes hiking and celebrates their last chance to be outdoors before the cold weather and lack of summer vacation take over.
I can't say I minded that.
